Seven Deadly Sins at the Signet Library
At the beginning of May we hosted our first client event since August 2019 as a thank you for their support throughout the pandemic and to introduce them to new members of our team. The Signet Library was beautifully transformed by our talented team of event designers to the theme of Seven Deadly Sins. A long feature table in the middle of the Upper Library was dressed in rustic green linens, eclectic glassware and gold cutlery. Our suppliers, Planet Flowers, completed the table with a sweeping arrangement along the centre and with a hanging arrangement floating above the table. The theming of the event was complete with the lighting changing colour throughout the evening in line with the seven deadly sins. It was simply divine!

The theatre of service during the evening really was the cherry on top of the cake!
Our team of Event Designers each represented one of the seven deadly sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Gluttony, Wrath and Sloth.
Guests arrived through the large doors from the Upper Landing to be dazzled by the set-up of the evening. Frans Mortengren, General Manager of Signet Library and our company Wine Ambassador, welcomed guests and introduced the theme for the evening whilst sharing numerous ‘proud moment stories’ from our wider team. Jeroboams of Pommery Champagne were circulated along with a trio of canapes:
Gingerbread, black pudding puree, seared scallop, caviar – served in smoking dome
Lobster bisque, tempura tail, vanilla foam
Tapioca cracker, salt baked white turnip, malt gel, mint pearls

Throughout the evening guests were delighted with honest food that dazzled with art and theatre, all perfectly paired with wines from around the globe. The theatre of service during the evening really was the cherry on top of the cake! Aaron and John from our bar team rounded off the evening at their cocktail station serving two extravagant fiery cocktails.
The menu and location of this event both played a huge role in making it such a fabulous evening, however it’s this combined with the planning, the theming, the theatre, and the service provided by our team of incredibly talented professionals and suppliers that make Heritage Portfolio events so memorable and a true experience beyond food!
